Class Policies
The following policies are for the safety and enjoyment of K9 Nose Work Classes at the Minnetonka Location.
Flat collars or harnesses are the preferred choice for nose work.
Dogs are to be on a 6ft leash or shorter when entering or leaving the facility.
Be aware of your dog and your surroundings - we share an entrance with Veterinary Behavior Specialties of MN, who have reactive dogs as patients.
The owner of each dog is responsible for the behavior of his/her animal and holds The K9 Nose and Yas Bakshian completely harmless for any damages to property, other animals or for personal injury to himself/herself or other persons.
Please clean up after your dog! Potty area is a shared space with Shady Oak Vet Clinic & Veterinary Behavior Specialties of MN.
Dogs are to be current on their vaccination according to their age. Please adhere to a vaccination protocol developed in consultation with your veterinarian. Dogs who are ill should not be brought to class.
Bitches in season may attend class if they are properly attired, but not during the days when they are in standing heat (generally this is day 10- 16 of their heat cycle). Handlers are encouraged to attend without their dog under these circumstances.
There is no smoking allowed at any time in the building or close to the entrances of the building.
Advance registration required for all classes. Payment for a class block is due on or before the first class of that session.
Refunds are provided only if informed 72 hours before the first class of the block. No refunds once a class block has started.
There are no refunds for missed classes. However, a courtesy make-up class may be arranged IF there is another class at the same level and IF the other class has available space.
Cancelled classes will be rescheduled per the instructor’s discretion.
Class schedules may change dependent on the instructor's schedule.
